ING: Euro may rise to $1.20 in 2020

If the EUR/USD is firmly fixed above the area 1.1230/40, the movement towards the target will accelerate.
The euro could rise to US$1.20 this year as investors are betting on a stronger exchange rate on the options market, ING reports. ING analysts say that the risk-return on monthly option contracts has recently shifted in favor of strengthening the euro.

There is a noticeable increase in demand in favor of call options in the euro, which is a bet on the strengthening of the currency. As a result, calls have become more expensive than put options. Put options are a bet on the weakening of the currency.
The EUR/USD rate rose by 0.5% to 1.1194, an 11-week high.
