Third Bitcoin halving just happened

On Monday evening, May 11, the third bitcoin halving took place. The reward for the found block was reduced from 12.5 to 6.25 BTC.
It happened on block 630,000. Even at the beginning of the day, the event should have ended late at night but the rate of extraction of blocks brought it closer by several hours. The image below shows that shortly before halving, 12 blocks were produced in an hour, which is twice as much as required by the algorithm.
The price of the bitcoin a few hours before the cut of the block award attempted to return to a level above US$9000, below which it fell on Sunday. However, BTC failed to gain a foothold there.
