U.S. authorities are searching for clients of the ceased to exist crypto exchange CoinGather

A few months ago the exchange had disabled its website.
In March 2018, the FBI reported the confiscation of the domain "coinGather". A few months before that, the exchange had disabled its website, causing its disappeared administration to be suspected in an exit scam. The exchange was in the lower echelon of trading platforms by volume and had a turnover of less than US$100,000, according to Coinmarketcap.

At the same time, data from social networks indicate that it had real clients who could lose money as a result of a sudden closure. Now the U.S. Department of Justice intends to track them down to pay compensation.
The Ministry does not specify the amount in question, but does call on the Exchange's creditors to submit a request within 35 days of notification to receive a refund. Applications will be considered within 21 days.
